To mark 75 years since the Treaty of Paris and 50 years of EUROFER, we brought together a special selection of photographs by Czech photographer Viktor Mácha, founder of The Beauty of Steel project.

Taken across steelworks throughout Europe, the photographs reveal an industrial world rarely seen up close: its people and skills, its scale and precision, its fire and extraordinary beauty. They also capture European steel at a defining moment: an industry with deep roots that is transforming for a new generation.
